In this episode of The MycoGeeky Podcast, we talk to George Sellhorn PhD, owner & operator of Flourish Labs, and Jordan Jacobs, owner & operator of TrypLabs about HPLC testing for mushroom cultivators.
We will be discussing what HPLC is, how it works, what potential customers should be asking for any potential HPLC testing facility, and the ways in which cultivators can best utilize them to help grow better.
George Sellhorn received his Ph.D. in Molecular Plant Sciences/Biochemistry from Washington State University, has 21 years of liquid chromatography experience, 16 years of employment in biomedical science and has published more than 10 peer-reviewed articles in scientific journals. In addition, he was the Director of a cannabis and environmental testing lab and is thoroughly versed in the accreditation process and running an accredited lab.
Jordan Jacobs received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Humboldt State University and has worked in analytical chemistry, cannabis extraction, brewing, and mushroom cultivation spaces. He is an amateur mycologist and fungal culturist, currently focusing on cultivating species not commonly grown and analyzing them with the tools he has at hand/within his network.
