The Wackness (2008)
Set in New York City in the summer of 1994, a lonely teenage marijuana dealer Luke Shapiro (Josh Peck) spends his last summer before university selling marijuana throughout New York City, trading it with his therapist, Dr. Squires (Ben Kingsley) for treatment. The doctor also has problems of his own and together, the mismatched pair launch across the metropolis on an odyssey full of girls (Olivia Thirlby, Mary-Kate Olsen), hip-hop music and cannabis.
Pineapple Express (2008)
In this romantic stoner movie a lazy process serving stoner (Seth Rogen) is the sole witness to a murder by an evil drug lord (Gary Cole) and a corrupt cop (Rosie Perez). He runs for his life on a hilarious pot-fueled adventure, along with his dazed dealer (James Franco) and his supplier (Danny McBride), while also navigating a relationship with a high school girl (Amber Heard).
